Minor detained after seriously injuring brother with knife
A family dispute escalated at a house in Gevelsberg during the night of 26 October. A minor family member is alleged to have seriously, but not life-threateningly, injured his 19-year-old brother with a knife. Emergency crews took the injured man to hospital for urgent treatment, while police secured the weapon and initially detained the minor. A judge later issued a detention order for the suspect at the request of prosecutors. A homicide investigation unit remains in charge of the inquiry.
