Man injured with machete during altercation in Gera
A 30-year-old man suffered minor injuries during an altercation outside a hospitality venue at Museumsplatz in Gera. At about 1:15 a.m. on January 10, he initially became involved in a verbal dispute with an unidentified man. The other man allegedly pulled a machete and struck at him twice. The victim moved away and sustained cuts to both hands. The suspect fled, and an initial search was unsuccessful. Police have opened an investigation.
