Uber driver injured with knife in Gelsenkirchen

An unidentified passenger allegedly injured a 33-year-old Uber driver with a knife in Gelsenkirchen-Schalke on 3 September. According to police, the driver and his passenger argued at about 4 a.m. while in a car on Florastraße near Luitpoldstraße. The passenger left the vehicle, then allegedly injured the man with the knife and fled. After initial treatment, the 33-year-old was taken to hospital for further care; police said his life was never in danger. The investigation for dangerous bodily harm is ongoing.
