Man allegedly seriously injured daughter with knife in Gelsenkirchen
A 47-year-old man allegedly seriously injured his 19-year-old daughter multiple times with a knife in an apartment in Gelsenkirchen's Bulmke-Hüllen district on 2 September. The woman was taken to hospital, and officers secured the knife. The man was provisionally arrested at the scene. Following an application by prosecutors, a court ordered pre-trial detention and he was taken to a correctional facility. A homicide investigation unit is continuing its inquiries.
