Senior woman threatened with knife in Gelsenkirchen

An 84-year-old woman is alleged to have been the victim of a robbery-related extortion offence in Gelsenkirchen on 11 March. After leaving the train at Bismarckstraße underground station, she was stopped by two unknown suspects at around 2:40 p.m. on Am Stäfflingshof street, where they asked for cash while displaying a knife. The senior woman called for help and ran back towards the underground station. A driver assisted her after she stopped a car. The two suspects fled without any money, and police are investigating.
