Man allegedly injured with knife in dispute in Gelsenkirchen
A 26-year-old man was seriously injured during a dispute at a kiosk on Grillostraße in Gelsenkirchen. According to police, he became involved in a verbal argument with a 37-year-old man on Saturday evening. The 37-year-old allegedly injured his opponent with a knife as the dispute escalated. Police said the injured man had previously broken a beer bottle to defend himself with the glass fragments. Bystanders separated the men, and an ambulance took the injured man to hospital. Criminal proceedings were initiated against the 37-year-old and the investigation is ongoing.
