Pre-trial detention after knife attack at clinic in Geestland
A 24-year-old man allegedly stabbed a 70-year-old clinic employee several times with a butter knife in the closed ward of a clinic in Debstedt, a district of Geestland, early on 9 February. The employee sustained superficial injuries. Following further investigations, including into the suspect's health, prosecutors applied for pre-trial detention. Stade Local Court issued the detention order the previous week, and the man was then taken to a correctional facility. The investigation is ongoing.
