Man injured in knife attack in Freiburg
A 41-year-old man was injured in an attack on Whittierstraße in Freiburg's Stühlinger district at around 9:30 p.m. on 8 June. According to police, three unidentified men initially assaulted him with punches, and one of them is alleged to have then inflicted moderately serious injuries with a knife. The victim's wife was not injured. Emergency services took the injured man to hospital, and his injuries were not life-threatening. During the attack, he lost his wallet containing cash as well as bank and insurance cards, which one of the offenders is alleged to have taken. The three men fled, and police are investigating on suspicion of dangerous bodily harm and theft.
