61-year-old seriously injured in alleged stabbing in Freiburg
A 61-year-old resident of a homeless shelter on Wiesentalstraße in Freiburg was seriously injured during an altercation on Tuesday morning. Police said the injuries were allegedly caused by stab wounds. A witness found the man bleeding on the floor at about 11:15 a.m., and he was taken to hospital. According to the information available at the time, there was no acute danger to his life. A 54-year-old fellow resident was provisionally detained at the shelter shortly afterward and was due to be brought before a remand judge the same day. Police and prosecutors are investigating the course of events.
