Two residents injured in knife attack in Frankfurt

At a residential facility in Frankfurt-Höchst, a 57-year-old resident is alleged to have first threatened a 35-year-old former resident and then attacked him with a knife and blunt force at around 18:00 on 1 June. The 35-year-old sustained cuts to his face, neck and hand and was taken to hospital. Two other residents came to assist him in the corridor, and a 47-year-old man was injured in the hand. The attacker initially fled but surrendered to police shortly afterwards. Following his arrest, a judge issued a detention warrant; investigators are still examining the background and whether the case could constitute attempted homicide.
