Woman remanded in custody after knife attack at Frankfurt accommodation facility
At an accommodation facility in Frankfurt's Ostpark, a 49-year-old woman allegedly injured her 41-year-old roommate with a knife. The incident occurred at around 03:00 during the night of 25 to 26 July, with injuries including to the upper body and neck. The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries, though police said the injuries were not currently considered life-threatening. The suspect was arrested immediately after the incident. Following a hearing before a judge, she was remanded in custody on suspicion of attempted manslaughter and dangerous bodily harm; the homicide squad is investigating.
