Man remanded after knife attack in Frankenthal
During a dispute in a flat in Frankenthal, a 70-year-old man allegedly attacked his 47-year-old flatmate with a kitchen knife. The victim suffered life-threatening injuries, was taken to hospital and underwent emergency surgery; he is no longer in danger of dying. Police provisionally arrested the suspect at the scene. A judge ordered pre-trial detention on urgent suspicion of attempted manslaughter.
