Knife drawn during family dispute in Esslingen pedestrian zone
A long-running conflict between related shop owners escalated on Pliensaustraße in Esslingen at about 5:20 p.m. on 24 May. After verbal arguments, there were mutual assaults, with more people gradually becoming involved. One participant drew a small knife. Police encountered a confused situation in the pedestrian zone. Two officers were hit with fists, while a 27-year-old suspect sustained a minor leg injury during the police intervention. Several patrols and additional units were deployed to calm the situation.
