Man injured with stabbing weapon in Essen
A 29-year-old man was injured with a stabbing weapon on Tuesday evening on a cycle route between Rüttenscheider Straße and Grugapark in Essen. According to his account, an unknown man initially asked him for small change and then continued to demand money. After the 29-year-old refused, the man allegedly approached him and injured him. The injured man went to hospital and was admitted as an inpatient. The suspect fled on foot towards Rüttenscheider Straße; police are investigating and seeking witnesses.
