Man found with life-threatening stab wound in Essen
A man was found on the evening of 17 November with a life-threatening stab wound on a pavement at the junction of Altenessener Straße and Kleine Stoppenberger Straße in Essen. Witnesses called police at about 6:10 pm after the man collapsed and was bleeding heavily. Emergency services took him to hospital. Police established a homicide investigation team, secured evidence into the night and appealed for witnesses. The man was initially unable to speak, and it remained unclear where and how he suffered the injury.
