Three injured in stabbing at wedding celebration in Essen
Three people were injured late on Saturday at a wedding celebration in a function hall on Gladbecker Straße in Essen. Following an initially verbal dispute between two groups, two suspects allegedly stabbed a 45-year-old man. He suffered serious stab wounds and was taken to hospital after emergency treatment; police said his life was not in danger. A 45-year-old woman and a 54-year-old man sustained lighter injuries. The two suspects were arrested after a search and remanded in custody on suspicion of attempted manslaughter.
