Man critically injured in knife attack in Espelkamp
A 48-year-old man was critically injured by knife wounds in Espelkamp early on Sunday. At around 03:30, he was cycling on Baltenweg when, according to the current investigation, four unknown people attacked him on the street. A knife was reportedly used in the attack. The man suffered serious injuries and was in acute danger to his life. The suspects, who police say are believed to be men, fled in an unknown direction. Prosecutors and a homicide investigation team are investigating suspected attempted homicide and dangerous bodily harm and are seeking witnesses.
