Man threatens passengers on RE1 train with pocketknife
On 12 November 2025, a man allegedly threatened several passengers with a folded pocketknife on an RE1 train bound for Berlin. Several fellow travellers subdued him and took the knife away. Police subsequently identified the 26-year-old man. As officers assessed him to be in a mental health crisis, an emergency doctor arranged for him to be admitted to a clinic. He is under investigation on suspicion of making threats.
