Attempted extortion in Erkenbrechtsweiler
A group of youths allegedly stopped a child who was on the way to his family on Obere Straße in Erkenbrechtsweiler on Friday afternoon. According to police, the group blocked the child's path and demanded money. When the child emptied his pockets and produced a pocketknife, the group backed away. The child was unharmed and later informed his family, who contacted police. Investigations into the as-yet unidentified offenders are continuing.
