Woman found dead after stab injuries in Emden
A 65-year-old woman was found dead with fatal stab injuries at a home in Emden on Sunday, 19 January. Her 67-year-old husband is under urgent suspicion of having killed her. According to the initial investigation, he called emergency services himself at around 10:50 and reported his wife's death. Responding officers provisionally detained him, while investigators are examining indications that the couple had been involved in an altercation. A judge ordered pre-trial detention at the prosecutor's request, and the investigation is ongoing.
