Man allegedly injured with knife near station in Elsenfeld
Near the station in Elsenfeld, a minor suspect allegedly attacked a 68-year-old man with a sharp object, believed to have been a knife, and injured his face. According to police, the incident occurred at about 15:15 on Glanzstoffstraße.
Passers-by reportedly came to the man's aid verbally. The suspect initially fled on foot but was arrested minutes later near neighbouring shops. Police recovered a suspected knife during a search.
The injured man received emergency medical treatment at the scene before being taken to hospital. His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening at the time, while criminal police and prosecutors investigate on suspicion of dangerous bodily harm.
