Man seriously injured in knife attack in Elsdorf
A 38-year-old man was attacked with a knife at about 03:30 on Sunday night at worker accommodation on Lange Straße in Elsdorf. He suffered cuts to his hand and neck and was seriously, but not life-threateningly, injured. The man called emergency services himself, and officers found him outside the accommodation. Inside, police encountered a 32-year-old resident suspected of the attack, provisionally arrested him, and secured a suspected knife. The suspect was released after police measures because there were no grounds for detention. Investigations for dangerous bodily harm are ongoing.
