Man seriously injured with knife in Duisburg
A 62-year-old man was seriously injured late on 13 August at a house on Lüderitzallee in Duisburg that he still shared with his former partner. Police said the 62-year-old woman is suspected of attacking him there with a knife. The man fled to a neighbour and was taken to hospital for inpatient treatment after receiving initial care; police said his life was not in danger.
The woman had left before emergency personnel arrived but was later located following a witness tip and provisionally arrested. At the prosecution's request, a judge ordered pre-trial detention on suspicion of attempted murder. Investigations into the background and motive are ongoing.
