Attempted knife robbery at Duisburg discount store
An unidentified man attempted to obtain money from a till at a discount store on Mannesmannstraße in Duisburg on Monday afternoon. After a 59-year-old cashier scanned an item, he demanded that she open the till while displaying a knife. When she said this was not possible, he tried to open it himself. He then fled towards Klettenweg without any proceeds, and criminal police are investigating.
