Attempted robbery with knife in Duisburg
A 39-year-old Duisburg resident reported an attempted robbery in an underpass on Vereinsstraße at about 9:09 p.m. on 28 July. An unknown man is alleged to have held a knife in front of him and demanded his valuables. When the 39-year-old resisted, the suspect fled on an e-scooter. According to the victim, the fleeing man lost the knife after falling and continued along Vereinsstraße toward Dahlstraße. The 39-year-old sustained minor injuries but did not require medical treatment. Criminal police opened an investigation.
