Man threatens police and doctor with knife at Düsseldorf university hospital

Police officers were called to the university hospital on Moorenstraße in Düsseldorf on 17 February over an alleged fraud offence. A 34-year-old man with an outstanding arrest warrant is alleged to have threatened the officers and a doctor with a knife. An officer then used a firearm and struck the man in the leg. He was treated at the scene and, according to police, was not in danger of dying. The knife was secured and no bystanders were injured.
