Man tries to draw pointed object during attack on federal police officers
On Monday, 21 September 2026, at about 20:45, a 47-year-old man tried to pull a pointed metal object roughly 14 centimetres long from his pocket while attacking federal police officers at Dresden’s main railway station. He failed to retrieve it; officers found the object during subsequent police measures. Railway security staff had earlier seen him cross the tracks without permission. When federal police tried to check him, he ran towards the officers and attempted to knock them over. He is under investigation for assaulting officers, and Deutsche Bahn banned him from the station and ordered him to leave.
