Man provisionally detained after knife attack in Dresden

At the Lennéplatz tram stop near the Cockerwiese in Dresden, a 36-year-old man is alleged to have attacked a 29-year-old acquaintance with a knife at about 9:20 a.m. on 27 May. According to prosecutors and police, the injured man sustained wounds to his neck and abdomen and received inpatient treatment. The suspect is being investigated on suspicion of attempted homicide and dangerous bodily harm. He was provisionally detained on the day of the incident, and prosecutors applied for an arrest warrant the following day. Investigations into the background of the case are ongoing.
