Man critically injured in scissors attack in Dortmund
A 19-year-old man sustained life-threatening injuries from multiple stab wounds inflicted with scissors in Dortmund-Mitte on 11 October 2026. According to initial findings, a teenager had argued with an 18-year-old woman at about 3:50 a.m. in an apartment on Heinrich-Wenke-Straße; the dispute continued in the street. When the 19-year-old intervened, the teenager allegedly stabbed him. Both then left the scene. The injured man was taken to hospital. Police arrested the suspect during a search near Adlerstraße; he resisted arrest. A warrant was issued for his detention on strong suspicion of attempted manslaughter. He is in pre-trial detention, and investigators are still examining the circumstances.
