Man threatened and lightly injured with knife in Dortmund

On 21 July, a 20-year-old allegedly threatened a 19-year-old with a knife, struck him repeatedly in the face and lightly injured his neck near Schwanenwall and Stiftstraße in Dortmund. Municipal public-order staff noticed the altercation outside the Citywache at about 19:50. The suspect and another man initially fled. Police and public-order staff later located the 20-year-old; officers recovered and seized the knife and its sheath after he discarded them. A further altercation involving groups was reported near the REWE Basecamp at about 20:40. The investigation into that incident is ongoing.
