Teenager seriously injured in knife attack at Dortmund's Nordmarkt
A teenager was seriously injured with a knife at Dortmund's Nordmarkt on the evening of 11 January. According to the police investigation, a 29-year-old man stabbed the teenager near a public toilet building. The injured teenager was taken to hospital and was not in danger of death, police said.
Police arrested the suspect without resistance. At the request of prosecutors, Dortmund Local Court ordered his provisional placement in a psychiatric hospital. Police are seeking further witnesses.
