Man critically injured in knife attack in Dortmund
A 31-year-old man was critically injured in a knife attack in Dortmund's Nordstadt district on 22 October. According to police and prosecutors, two unknown men demanded cash from him at the junction of Schillerstraße and Uhlandstraße. After he refused, they allegedly stabbed him and took his mobile phone. The man was treated at the scene, taken to hospital and underwent emergency surgery; he was later reported to be out of danger. The two suspects fled, and police and prosecutors are investigating on suspicion of attempted murder.
