Passenger threatens traveller with pocketknife on RE 3 near Dortmund

A 34-year-old passenger allegedly threatened another traveller on the RE 3 on the evening of 14 September using the corkscrew of a pocketknife. Witnesses said he made stabbing motions toward the other passenger. Nobody was injured, and the threatened traveller had already left the train at an earlier stop. After receiving the report, federal police cleared a platform at Dortmund central station before the train arrived. Officers found and seized a pocketknife and another knife from the man and took him into custody. Federal police opened an investigation and arranged for video recordings from the train to be secured.
