Attempted knife robbery in Dortmund-Derne

A 27-year-old man was allegedly lightly injured during an attempted aggravated robbery in Dortmund-Derne on the evening of 2 June. He had met an online acquaintance at the Am Wittfeld bus stop and was then walking along an access path towards the wooded area near Nierstefeldweg.

Police said two additional men approached them there. One allegedly held a knife in front of the man and demanded cash. According to police, the three men held him, but the 27-year-old broke free and fled into the woods. He reached Im Schellenkai via an allotment garden area, where a resident called police. The three suspects fled, and police are seeking witnesses.
