18-year-old remanded in custody after knife attack in Dortmund
An 18-year-old was critically injured by knife wounds in Dortmund on the evening of 8 May. Police and prosecutors said an 18-year-old man from Dortmund allegedly stabbed the man from Castrop-Rauxel without warning at about 21:15 on Westerfilder Straße. The incident occurred between Wattenscheidskamp and Schloß-Westhusener-Straße. The injured man underwent emergency surgery that night and was later reported to be stable. Police arrested the suspect that evening, and he was remanded in custody after appearing before an investigating judge on suspicion of attempted manslaughter combined with dangerous bodily harm.
