Suspect arrested after attempted homicide in Dorsten
Police arrested a 37-year-old suspect after an attempted homicide in a domestic setting in Dorsten. According to the investigation so far, on Sunday morning at about 09:45 he gained access through a window to the ground-floor apartment of his 54-year-old mother in the Feldmark district. He is alleged to have first physically attacked his mother and then attacked her 59-year-old partner with a knife. Both suffered injuries, but police said neither was in danger of death. A homicide investigation unit has been assigned to the case.
