Man allegedly seriously injured with knife in Dogern
A 37-year-old customer was allegedly attacked with a knife and seriously injured at a petrol station in Dogern at about 5 p.m. on 2 April. Police and prosecutors said the station's 24-year-old employee was suspected of attacking the man without warning. The injured customer got into his vehicle and left the site before being flown to a hospital in Waldshut. His condition was later described as stable.
Police provisionally detained the suspect at the scene shortly afterwards. Prosecutors intended to seek an arrest warrant on suspicion of attempted murder. Investigators said the suspect and victim were not known to each other, and no confirmed motive had been established at that time.
