Man allegedly attempted to stab victim with screwdriver in Detmold
A 29-year-old man allegedly insulted and threatened three young adults outside a snack bar on Lange Straße in Detmold on the evening of 18 September. Police said he then produced a screwdriver and thrust it towards a 19-year-old. The young man left the scene and was not injured. An off-duty police officer witnessed the attack, followed the man and overpowered him on Meierstraße. Officers took the intoxicated suspect into custody and secured the screwdriver. Investigations into dangerous bodily harm, threats and insults are ongoing.
