Man threatens police officers with knife in Detmold
A 33-year-old man threatened police officers with a knife at a supermarket in Detmold-Remmighausen on 26 February. Officers had checked his identity after he claimed that police were looking for him, but found that he was not wanted. He was eventually persuaded to put down the knife and was taken into custody. The public order office and a doctor subsequently arranged his compulsory admission to a psychiatric facility.
