Two men injured after altercation in Detmold
Two men were injured during an altercation between two groups on Bachstraße in Detmold on Saturday afternoon. A 43-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to the face and was initially in life-threatening condition, while a 19-year-old man suffered a serious stab wound to the upper body. Both were taken to hospital and were later no longer in danger of dying. The 19-year-old is suspected of being the shooter. One person fled after the incident, and the search also involved a police helicopter. Prosecutors and a homicide investigation unit are investigating suspected attempted manslaughter combined with dangerous bodily harm.
