Attempted robbery at bakery in Coesfeld
An unidentified man attempted to obtain money from a bakery on Neutorstraße in Coesfeld early on Wednesday. At about 5:40 a.m., he entered the branch, held a knife in front of an employee and demanded the cash from the register. The employee loudly refused, and the suspect fled in an unknown direction without any proceeds. The employee did not require an ambulance. Police are also examining a possible connection to a pair of burning shoes found later and are seeking information.
