Man injured in knife attack in central Chemnitz
A 31-year-old man is alleged to have repeatedly injured a 26-year-old man on the left arm with a knife on Brückenstraße in central Chemnitz on 18 September 2026. He had reportedly earlier tried unsuccessfully to injure another 25-year-old man who was present with the knife. The 26-year-old received emergency medical treatment and was admitted to hospital. The suspect fled, and police are investigating on suspicion of dangerous bodily harm.
