33-year-old seriously injured in Chemnitz
A 33-year-old man was seriously injured in Chemnitz's Sonnenberg district on Friday evening. According to police, a 28-year-old woman attacked him in an apartment in a multi-family building on Markusstraße and inflicted the injuries with a pointed object.
Both then went out onto the street. The woman stopped a car and asked its driver to call emergency services. Paramedics took the man to hospital, and his injuries were not life-threatening. Police provisionally detained the suspect. She was released from custody overnight into Saturday following police procedures on the instructions of the public prosecutor's office. She is being investigated on suspicion of dangerous bodily harm.
