Minor forced at knifepoint to hand over money in Chemnitz

Two unknown men allegedly robbed a minor at the Margarethenstraße bus stop in Chemnitz on 15 December. Police said they first demanded cash after the minor declined a request for a cigarette. He handed over money out of fear and, at their demand, went with them into a side street. There, the men allegedly used a knife to force him to surrender his bank card. One suspect withdrew a two-digit amount of cash from a nearby cash machine while the other held the minor. The suspects fled with the proceeds, and the minor was not injured. Criminal police are investigating on suspicion of robbery and extortion.
