Teenager injured in attack at Chemnitz football pitch
At Bürgerpark in Chemnitz's Gablenz district, around ten youths allegedly attacked a group of seven people who were playing football on 30 November. They had allegedly demanded cash beforehand. Police said the attackers used, among other things, belts and sticks and chased those affected across the pitch. One teenager was reportedly lightly injured by a knife, and was also struck on the head with a branch. A mobile phone was also robbed from another teenager. The group fled before police arrived. Criminal police are investigating on suspicion of robbery-related extortion and dangerous bodily harm.
