Two brothers injured in knife attack in Buchholz
A physical altercation involving three men took place on 21 May on Richard-Schmidt-Straße in Buchholz. Two brothers were injured: a 37-year-old man apparently sustained minor knife wounds, while his 30-year-old brother suffered serious to life-threatening injuries. The younger man's condition was stable after emergency surgery.
Police secured blood traces and a blank-firing gun at the scene. The suspected perpetrator initially fled, was identified during the investigation, later appeared at a police station and was provisionally detained. Investigators are continuing to examine the background to the altercation.
