Man threatens Bremen police officers with long gun and knife
Police responded in Bremen-Vegesack at about 00:30 on 22 April after reports of possible shots from an air gun. According to police, a suspected man fled from an apartment and was later found hiding in bushes. He was holding a long gun with a knife attached to its tip and made stabbing motions toward the officers. After announcing and then using a Taser, officers subdued him. During the arrest, he bit one officer on the hand, though the officer was able to continue working. Police said the suspect was uninjured and was taken for psychiatric assessment.
