Man detained after knife attack at Bremen central station
Two men became involved in a dispute at Bahnhofsplatz in Bremen on Thursday evening, during which a 26-year-old man was seriously injured. Police said a knife was used; the victim was bleeding heavily from his arm and was taken to hospital after receiving initial treatment. His blood loss temporarily put his life at risk. Officers located a 23-year-old man nearby shortly afterwards and provisionally detained him. Police and prosecutors are investigating an attempted homicide, while a custody hearing and further inquiries remain pending.
