Armed attempted robbery at Bremen discount store

An unknown man attempted to obtain cash from a discount store on Bismarckstraße in Bremen's Fesenfeld district at about 10 p.m. on 19 November. After first asking a cashier for cigarettes, he held the employee by the forearm and demanded that the cash register be opened while displaying a knife. When another employee arrived, the offender ran towards Osterdeich without any money. Police are seeking witnesses.
