Teenager seriously injured in knife attack in Braunschweig
A teenager was seriously injured by knife wounds during an altercation at the tram stop on John-F.-Kennedy-Platz in Braunschweig. The incident occurred at about 23:30 on 25 October after two young men approached the teenager and his minor companion and an argument followed. One of the attackers is alleged to have stabbed the teenager, while the other allegedly struck the companion in the head. The teenager underwent emergency surgery and was subsequently reported to be stable and no longer in immediate danger to life. The two attackers fled towards the main railway station, and police are investigating attempted manslaughter.
